Testimonials

This house and its location are perfect for anyone who wants to experience Lincoln up-close.
It’s an easy (but initially steep) walk to the information center, cathedral, castle, Usher Gallery, The Collection museum, Bailgate shopping, bars + restaurants, and the High Street.

The master bed is super comfortable, and the linens are luxurious. The kitchen is well-appointed with more than enough eating and serving dishes, pans, flatware and kitchen utensils. Enjoy your morning coffee on the patio just outside the sitting room, and a cup of afternoon tea at the bottom of the garden looking up at the cathedral can’t be beat.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Cottage, it was the perfect home for our week stay and had all the essentials including a thoughtful welcome basket. There is a lovely garden at the back which was nice to sit out for lunch in and the location to the cathedral, castle etc… could not have been better.

The cottage has plenty of room for 2-4 people to stay and relax. The living room was very comfortable with a television and a small table for eating. While we did not use the kitchen (except for coffee and tea in the morning), it contained sufficient supplies and materials for cooking.

The bedrooms were very comfortable, and it was nice to have a desk and mirror for doing makeup and hair.

We were most impressed with the lovely garden in the backyard, and loved having a cup of coffee out there in the morning.

Finally, the location of this cottage is perfect for getting around the center of town. The walk to the castle and cathedral is up Steep Hill (that’s the name, and it’s named accurately!), but was only a 5-minute walk with lots of shops, pubs, and cafes close by.

The cottage met all my expectations! We can’t wait to come back and stay again.
